Prenatal yoga

Our prenatal yoga series goes beyond simply modifying yoga poses. We celebrate community and strive to make your pregnancy as comfortable as possible.

The classes are uniquely designed to support a healthy pregnancy and an empowered birth experience.

This is a four week series, every Monday from 6:00 to 7:15 p.m. beginning on Oct. 7 through Oct. 28 at our South Dartmouth location. It’s $55 for all four sessions or $15 to drop-in to any session. Capacity is limited, so registration in advance is recommended.

Autumn Equinox sound bath and meditation

Tara Atwood

The fall equinox signifies the transition from summer to fall. It's an ideal time to meet with your authentic self and create a personal ceremony recognizing the change in seasons. On this day, there are almost equal hours of daylight and darkness. On a personal level, we can think of it as the time when we begin to harvest the seeds we sowed in the spring and nurtured during the summer.

Reduce stress and pain, and enter into relaxation with this unique meditation and sound bath experience with International Sound Therapist, Tara Atwood.

Meditation and sound healing is a 2,500 year old wellness practice. Meditation and sound therapy are tools to bring the mind, body and soul back to harmony and bring us to a state of peacefulness. During this 90 minute experience, the room will be surrounded with Tibetan, crystal and crystal alchemy bowls, and a combination of aromatherapeutic oils diffused throughout the room to move and balance qi “energy flow” throughout the body.

Brick House School all levels yoga fundraiser

BHS yoga fundraiser.png

Note: This event will be held at Brick House School. 9 Ashland Place, Taunton, MA, 02780.

Divine Yoga & Paddle Co. is bringing yoga to Brick House School, this time for the adults! All levels are invited to join this one hour yoga flow in the school yard.

Cost: $15 (or $17 credit card)
Equipment needed: yoga mat or towel

All proceeds from the event go to the preschool, a nonprofit organization where the only employees are the dedicated director and teachers. It is parent-run and managed by the board of directors, and offers small class sizes where children feel safe and loved.

Earlier this year, Brick House was in danger of shutting its doors after providing a safe space for preschoolers in the community for 79 years. Well, concerned parents, alumni and teachers were determined to keep the school operating, and in under one month tripled enrollment. Brick House School will open its doors and celebrate its 80th year in the fall!

Nicole is a Brick House mom and co-owner of Divine Yoga & Paddle Co., and so happy to share her love of yoga while reading funds that will help offset operating costs.

NOTE: This event will be held in at Brick House School. 9 Ashland Place, Taunton, MA 02780.

Yoga encourages self-esteem and body awareness through a non-competitive activity that promotes compassion. Physically, yoga enhances flexibility, strength, coordination and body awareness. It improves concentration, calmness and relaxation. These learned skills help children navigate through the stress of today's hurry up world.

Nicole Cleary Brick House Mom and co-owner of Divine Yoga & Paddle Co. is happy to bring yoga to Brick House School!

$5 per child, cash only (credit cards accepted for $7 per child). All proceeds will go to Brick House School. Each child will need a yoga mat, towel or blanket. We'll spend the first half hour exploring movement and breath through yoga, then we'll read a short book before making our very own breathing bracelets to help kids relax through stressful moments.

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

The artisan fair includes 50 fine artists and crafters selling their work on Elm Street. Peruse the artists’ tents from Prospect Street to Harbor Street.

Stop to find unique treasures at Padanaram’s local merchants too. Most will have special sales and events out on their sidewalks. Look for unique treasures, great deals, and even some fun giveaways around town!

Even the food scene is booming in Padanaram. There are several excellent dining options throughout the village. Little Moss, Farm & Coast, Black Bass, Village Sweets, Chumley’s, and Dockside will all have great specials during the Summer Festival. Valley Top Catering and Oxcart will be set up on Elm Street too.

Parking in Padanaram is extremely limited, and Elm Street will be closed to traffic so festival guests can safely enjoy the venue. Visitors are encouraged to park at St. Mary’s Church’s Parish Center Lot (accessible from both Dartmouth and Middle Streets). A shuttle provided by the Dartmouth Council on Aging will drive visitors the short distance to the festival and bring them back to their cars when ready to leave.

The Padanaram Summer Festival is produced by the Padanaram Business Association and has been a Padanaram summer tradition for over 30 years.
